David Ljung Madison

Dave started dancing in 1996 after seeing the seminal and cheesy film Swing Kids.

He has been dancing obsessively since then, and started teaching in 1998, and has since brought his love of dance to workshops in over 40 countries.

His love for dancing comes out of the connection and improvisation found in non-formal, non-choreographed partnered dancing. His classes are usually concept based, focusing on body lead connection and musicality fundamentals, modified as necessary for the student's abilities.

His love for teaching comes from a desire to break down and analyze the components of a dance, and transfer those universal principles to his students.

Because of this, his classes are heavily rooted in connection and foundations.
